Miss Representation - Essay exercisingOne of the most useful tools for the mainstream (digital/electronic media) is misrepresentation. I believe that media is now an expert in forming ideologies resolutions and guardianship in check peoples livelinessstyles. I agree with the films message that in that respect is a certain agenda the way media portrays women. They be usually portrayed as the victims, short large(p)-boiled and there is no way people can put women on screen without sexually objectifying them.In my opinion the way media portrays women has a strong effect on the way women in real life see themselves. Teenagers spend hours in front of television, passively absorbing information through images. It would be hard to argue that TV doesnt affect lifestyles and ideologies. I would agree with the documentary that people are paid more attention to womens appearances rather than their content (their knowledge and skills). It seems as if youth, beauty and sexuality are the o nly degrees left for women to qualify.On the other hand, I also dont agree with the thoroughgoing opposite where women should seek a unforgiving behavior because they have been portrayed as victims. A revengeful feministic approach towards matriarchy is the last thing I want. It would be doing the same with the male gender what media is doing with the feminine gender.
