According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (n.d) healthcare workers face potential sources of injuries in the clinical areas through bloodborne pathogens, airborne pathogens, ergonomic injuries, slips, trips, falls, and through sharps; in the surgical suites through anesthetic gases, bloodborne pathogens, compressed gases, lasers, and latex; in radiology through radiation, airborne pathogens, and bloodborne pathogens as well; in physical therapy through ergonomics, slips, trips, and falls, through equipment hazards, and bloodborne pathogens; in the pharmacy through latex, drug absorption, and through slips and falls; and in central supply through compressed gases, anesthetic agents, chemical agents, ergonomics, and through burns and cuts. These injuries are sources of significant concern within and outside the health care practice because the appropriate safety precautions must be laid out in order to protect the welfare of all health care workers. Based on the above scenario, this paper now seeks to answer: What are the appropriate programs which need to be implemented to prevent and control the occurrence of the above health care injuries? Monitoring, Detection, Diagnosis of the injury problem In monitoring, detecting, and diagnosing of injuries in the workplace, it is important to observe the activities of healthcare workers. The monitoring of activities can be carried out by observing how the healthcare workers carry out their activities. In observing their activities, it is possible to observe how well these workers comply with the standard precautions of safety. By observing the workers, it is possible to see if they are practicing ergonomics while carrying, transferring and moving patients or while implementing interventions for the patient. The use of gloves, masks, gowns, and other personal protective equipment must be assessed. Evaluating whether or not workers use this protective equipment would determine the presence or absence of risks on the worker’s life. Regular tests of chemical levels and other toxic elements on a worker’s system would also help establish the extent of injury posed on the worker’s life. Radiation strips worn by workers would also help monitor the radiation exposure levels for the workers exposed to radiation and other toxic chemicals. Past and existing studies Various studies have been carried out on the subject matter. These studies have expressed that each year about 385,000 health care workers in hospitals are exposed to bloodborne pathogens, caused mostly by inadvertent needlestick and sharps injuries (National Public Health, 2011). In this strategy the healthcare organization as well as the ministry of health determines the root cause of every inequality experienced by every people in New Zealand. Inequality with regards to socio-economic, ethnical, cultural beliefs and other factors that affects health outcomes are being considered as determinant factors then through these factors planning fo r the implementation will be based on the given and factors being distinguished. As I moved passed my neighbor's poultry shed, headed toward the street to sell my copied music cds (for I am rather well off, having moved to this neighborhood to care for my ailing parents), I noticed that the chickens were lethargic, and had not seemed to have eaten. My neighbor cursed them to me when I saw him, claiming that what few eggs they laid were soft and broke when he picked them up. I moved when he kicked one, and set up my shop for the day. The next day, as I passed the chicken shack, I noticed one chicken lying next to the shack--its face was swollen, and the combs of the cocks had taken on a blueish coloration. The chicken also seemed to be sneezing, but I can never tell. I did not see my neighbor that morning, and I moved on. When I returned home, however, I saw him standing in his yard, staring down. He was flushed, and sweating, but in the heat, I took it for granted. One thing however, stopped me cold--all around him, his chickens were dead. It seemed to have come suddenly--some were dead in the water trough, as if they had been struck down while drinking. After putting on my gardening mask (I have terrible hayfever), I helped pile the corpses into a wheelbarrow and carry them off out of the town to bury them. My neighbor spit and cleared his throat a lot, and complained of a headache and said his arthritis was acting up. I gave him some aspirin, and went home for the night. Several days passed as normal, and I did not think too much of the chickens. After all, this was the busy season, and I had to make sure that I made enough to last my sister a year, when I left her [to watch] my parents [after] I returned home. However, when my neighbor's daughter crawled to my door and passed out, I knew that [the illnesses of my neighbor and his chickens] were somehow related. Analysis of Edmund Waller's Poem "On a Girdle" At first glance, Edmund Waller’s poem â€Å"On a Girdle† seems to suggest nothing more than praise of one woman’s fair beauty and the speaker’s love for her. After diving deeper into the text, however, it becomes apparent that the speaker does a much better job of praising himself than the woman. His love is more a lust for control and possession than a true declaration of sentiment. Waller uses extreme imagery and exaggeration to seemingly praise this woman. More importantly, however, he subtlety belittles her through tropes and diction. Waller evokes this image of her girdle to express his own desire to restrict this beautiful woman. It cannot be denied that Waller professes love for this woman. He praises her tremendously. He refers to her girdle as â€Å"my heaven’s extremest sphere†. Through this statement he is claiming that for him her girdle was the most expansive point of his universe. This is undoubtedly an extreme statement. He also declares, â€Å"My joy, my grief, my hope, my love / Did all within this circle move!† Waller is profoundly affected by this woman. She instills in him joy, grief, hope and love, all emotions someone enamored with a woman might experience. He loves her so much that if he can have her then, â€Å"Take all the rest the sun goes round!†. In essence Waller is saying he loves this woman more than anything else on earth. Unarguably, Waller holds this woman in extremely high regard. He has placed her on a pedestal. The more interesting idea to consider, however, is why he places her upon this pedestal. This woman is placed upon the pedestal because of her physical beauty. She is described as having a â€Å"slender waist†, a â€Å"na... ... is an object which can be given and then the word â€Å"me† suggests the speaker’s desire for ownership of this object. By using diction that suggests possession and control Waller reveals his true intent for this woman that the loves. This entire poem conjures up an image, that of a man with his arms encircling a woman as her girdle once did. After reflecting upon this image it can be seen as a very controlling one. The man has his arms around the woman but she has no part of the embrace. She is trapped. She is merely the object he has his arms around. She may be beautiful, he may love her, but she plays no role in the relationship. She simply remains in his embrace much like the deer in its pen she was compared to earlier. This is what Waller desires from this woman. He never asks for her love in return. He longs only for possession of her body.

Somehow, using the third person seems to make the reporting seem much more objective. The same is true for essay writing. One of the main reasons academic writing requires the use of third-person point of view is to minimize the opinions of the writer. When you write in third person, you can be more objective. When you cite other sources, you also borrow from their respectability in the field and their expertise. It is almost as though you are an academic reporter.
